THE ROYAL WARWICKSHIRE REGIMENT/FUSILIERS

THE ROYAL WARWICKSHIRE REGIMENT/FUSILIERS STABLE BELT

The colours of the Royal Warwickshire belt were blue and orange, the exact shade of the latter being "old gold with a touch of Dutch pink". These colours are those of the Dutch Royal House of Nassau and originate from the fact that the regiment was raised in 1674 as a unit of English troops fighting for Holland, and only later came to Britain with William of Orange in 1685.
