CAN YOU HELP TO IDENTIFY THIS MYSTERY STABLE BELT?
CLUES
Grey, dark blue and yellow
Width 10cms (very wide)
The buckle is unusual in that one side slides down over the other
Below - more examples 10cms wide and with the same sliding buckle. Where are they from?
SUGGESTIONS
The bottom two appear to possibly be an early RAVC? and a faded RAMC?
They are probably for the ‘Staff Band’ of the respective Corps. I have an RA one.
The lower two belts certainly are RAVC and RAMC colours but I have never seen a buckle like that and the RAVC belt combination is now no longer like that. I do know that the RAMC Band had a buckle similar to that in the 1960s so perhaps it is a band belt.
